Riverstone Road, Riverstone
Project Description
Development Type: Residential subdivision in the Riverstone Precinct North West Growth Centre
Number of Lots: 72 lots in two stages
Scope: Project management, surveying, planning and engineering design
General Overview: In this project, we encountered several challenges that demanded careful planning and effective solutions. The site’s natural drainage catchment, running through its centre, necessitated design considerations to manage stormwater effectively throughout the construction and future development phases. Collaboration with neighbouring property owners was vital, particularly with roads being centred along shared property boundaries. By fostering open communication and cooperation, we successfully navigated these complexities, ensuring optimal outcomes.
Early identification of the need to relocate Telstra assets played a significant role in maintaining project efficiency. By addressing this requirement promptly, potential delays at the completion stage were mitigated, allowing for adherence to the project timeline.
Another critical aspect was the reconstruction of a road within an area already occupied by residents. To ensure their safety and convenience during construction, we implemented a carefully planned traffic detour. This detour enabled uninterrupted access for the residents while facilitating the necessary road reconstruction activities without compromising safety or inconveniencing the community.
Through careful design considerations, proactive collaboration, and efficient traffic management, we successfully tackled the challenges presented by the drainage system, neighboring property owners, Telstra asset relocation, and road reconstruction. These efforts contributed to the overall success of the project, exemplifying our commitment to delivering high-quality results while prioritising the safety and satisfaction of all stakeholders involved.
